If you haven’t voted by now, it’s time to look around and figure out what you did with your mail-in-ballot for the April 28th special election next week. That’s next Tuesday. Don’t wait–make sure your vote is counted!
Ballots were mailed out to Tacoma voters last week. We haven’t endorsed candidates for the summer primary election yet, but this is an important ballot issue that requires your immediate attention.
A YES vote on the special election ballot will support Proposition 1 to continue funding for forty parks and community centers across Tacoma. This measure invests in parks and green spaces in every Tacoma neighborhood.
Did you ever notice that our parks department has provided a park within almost 15 minutes in any way you walk. These destinations feature much more than a picnic table.
We have community centers, swimming/wading pools, and basketball courts for a pick up game before you go home. And, when fall arrives there are trails through a canopy of gold leaves where you can escape the noise and confusion of streets.
Don’t put off your chance to be counted.
Mark your ballot, sign and date the envelope, and drop it off at your local ballot box soon ASAP.
Vote YES for Parks Prop 1!
